I became lost in the beauty of the canvas and the colors at my fingertips, and time seemed to slip away. That evening, as I stared at the abstract painting I had created, I realized that it was a mirror of my emotions. Since then, I have sold out several collections of abstract paintings and have incredible collectors from New York to California and, of course, right here in Memphis, TN. I recently moved back to Memphis after living in Chattanooga, TN the last 10 years and i could not be more excited to be back in the 901. Read more>>

This time around with more passions, no hustle, boundaries for my body and my mental, and a better location. I was and am still in downtown Memphis. Eventually, it got to a point where I had to choose. Who do I want to be? A elementary art teacher or a hairstylist. It was the hardest decision I’ve ever made but i chose hair, because I am determined to be a role model for them and show them you can do any and everything. Read more>>

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard, “Oh, I’m not strong enough for Pilates,” or “That looks way too intimidating.” And I get it—walking into something new, especially in the fitness world, can feel overwhelming. But that’s exactly why I’m opening Evolve Pilates Studio. I want to create a space where people feel welcomed, included, and supported from day one. Where they realize they are strong enough, they do belong here, and all they have to do is start. Read more>>

BYS Factory Express was born in early 2017 out of a personal need shared by some friends, my husband and me. We had just arrived in Memphis, TN, from Venezuela and urgently needed to send essential supplies to our families and friends—basic necessities like clothing, food, hygiene products, and medicine that were nearly impossible to find at that time. We understood this struggle firsthand because we had lived through it ourselves. Read more>>

Salad Station all started with a conversation I was having with a client in late 2022. She had just returned from Texas where she visited a similar salad concept. We talked about the need for a quick and healthy option in the Memphis area. The next day there was an ad on FB talking about Salad Station and also an article in the Memphis Business Journal looking for owners in our area. We visited Salad Station HQ the next month were we met the Founders(mom and son) team and decided this would be a great addition to Memphis area with plans to grow multiple locations throughout the mid-south. In 2018, I took a leap of faith and released my first EP, Love Over Hate. It was my first time stepping into a recording studio, and though it was a small project, it was a major confidence booster. Encouraged by that experience, I made a bold decision in the spring of 2019: I quit my job to fully pursue my dreams. I released remixes of my most popular song, performed in multiple cities, and felt like I was stepping into my purpose. Read more>>

Creating this community helps me to become the woman I needed back in college when I was lost, which is my main goal. I curate and host events for women to come together and just take a break from their day to day life, their struggles, and anything in between. I view it as a “pass time.” But not only are we “passing time”, we are healing our traumas along the way. I value girl time and girl talk. This community will help you connect with like minded women and help you become HER as you navigate through your life’s journey. Read more>>

Eight years ago, I came to this country in search of better opportunities, with the dream of building a successful future. It was here that I discovered my true calling: balloon decorations. I began my publishing career in advertising sales for a couple of local Memphis publications. I was discussing my career path with my father as I was looking for guidance as to what my next move might be. He and I were both active in the health and fitness community in the mid-south and as we talked, realized there was a need we could fill with a niche publication and Memphis Health & Fitness Magazine was born!
